Who we are looking for:
ILA (Institut Luxembourgeois des Administrateurs) is seeking an experienced senior education and events professional with proven management and communication skills, understanding of the Luxembourg training marketplace, and eagerness to take responsibility and manage a team of 3 experts.
The Education and Events Executive , who is also member of the Executive Committee, is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the education services provided and events organized by ILA. Fluent in English and French and directly reporting to the CEO, he/she/X is a team player also closely coordinating and working with the Executive team and relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Designing and implementing the training strategy in concert with others, managing the training and events budget as well as analysing the financial performance of ILA’s education and events activities are also among the responsibilities.
Furthermore, he/she/X will have the opportunity of building and maintaining relationships with similar organisations in neighbouring countries and exchanging with them on educational trends and best practices.
In summary, we are looking for a person who is confident to take on the role and responsibility for:
o Designing and implementing with others the training strategy and coordinating the set-up and organisation of the training plan
o Setting up the training agenda and the content of education and training events in coordination with the trainers
o Recruiting new trainers
o Managing and organising ILA’s networking events
o Managing the training and events budget and analysing the overall performance
o Identifying and negotiating new partnerships in education and training
o Building and maintaining goodwill and mutual understanding with ILA’s stakeholders in Luxembourg and abroad
Interested candidates would need to have the following qualities:
o Have 10-year experience in a similar position and/or area of activity
o Have proven management and communication skills
o Be a team player with strategic thinking capacity together with the flexibility the job requires
o Be fluent in written and spoken French and English (German and Luxembourgish will be considered a plus)
