The Institut Luxembourgeois des Administrateurs (ILA), the Luxembourg Institute of Directors, in conjunction with PricewaterhouseCoopers is pleased to invite you to our annual conference providing insight and perspectives on the evolving face of fund governance in Europe and in Luxembourg.
The event will be held on December 17, 2009 at the Chambre de Commerce du Luxembourg (7, rue Alcide de Gasperi – Luxembourg-Kirchberg) from 9h30 until 16h00, a full agenda will be submitted shortly.
This year, we are pleased to welcome a panel of leading industry participants, associations and regulators including: Stefan Seip - Chair of the German Fund association, BVI, and a member of the EFAMA working group on corporate governance, Jean-Marc Goy of the Luxembourg regulator, CSSF, and Camille Thommes of the Luxembourg Fund Association, ALFI. Stefan and Camille will provide the industry association's views on fund governance and specifically with regard to the recent EFAMA initiative. Jean-Marc will then discuss the expectations of the regulator today and going forward.
The panel will be followed by a series of updates and discussion from industry experts covering the following areas
- Directors Liability, an update on recent developments;
- Product Innovation and implications for the Board;
- Developments in risk management and what the Board should be doing;
- Fund valuation, the challenges and the role of the Board.
A walking lunch will provide the opportunity to discuss issues with colleagues and the industry experts.
Please be informed that the conference is being offered free of charge for ILA members and at a charge of EUR 250 for non-members to be paid upon registration.
