Anne-Sophie Rio-Rotheval has 20 years experience in the financial and banking sectors mainly as a senior manager for Ernst & Young in Paris and Luxembourg specialised in Risk management and regulatory fields but also as conducting officer in charge of Risk management for a Swedish Institution specialised in payment processing and Wealth Management. Since 2018, she has joined as Chief Risk Officer the Fund services arm of Royal Bank of Scotland International Group (cash management, fund finance, depositary and custody activities for alternative investment vehicles).
Her Board experience was and still is mainly under 2 roles:
as the management level contact for supporting Board of Directors of banking institutions in Luxembourg
as Board member and founder of a non-profitable organisation in Luxembourg aiming to promote and foster, within the cyber-security ecosystem, woman career shift into a 3-years certified program.
Marc joined the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) in 2013 as head of finance, setting up a new finance and administrative structure, including the implementation of the ISO9001:2015 standard and the three lines of defence in risk governance. He also serves on the finance committee of Science Europe and is auditor of the Luxembourg Agency for Research Integrity. Before joining the FNR, he was senior manager at Paul Wurth SA managing the group consolidation and reporting.
Over the course of his professional career he had to translate technicalities to common understanding and implement change management with a pragmatic, consistent and straightforward approach. His expertise is within accounting, auditing, budgeting, coaching, controlling, data protection, risk management and training.
He is fluent in Luxembourgish, German, French and English, has an intermediate level in Spanish and Swedish and is beginner in Italian and Japanese.
He holds a MEng in mechanical engineering, a MSc in petroleum economics and management and a MSc in mineral economics. A Fulbright scholarship enabled him to get insight into North America.
When time allows Marc enjoys being a tour guide for the Luxembourg City Tourist Office.
Caroline joined RBC Investor Services Bank S.A. in June 2019 to serve as Subsidiary Governance Officer, Continental Europe and is responsible, amongst others, of the oversight and accountability for the corporate governance of direct and indirect RBC regulated and unregulated entities in Continental Europe (and Ireland).
Prior to joining RBC, Caroline started he career at the law firm “Bonn Steichen & Partners” within the Corporate and Private Equity department. After giving birth to her child in 2015, Caroline decided to join the law firm D.Law (Member of Deloitte Legal) in the Corporate and M&A department.
Since 2017, Caroline is acting as Board member and Secretary of LILLA (Ladies In Law Luxembourg Association a.s.b.l), being the first network of its kind for women working within the legal sector in Luxembourg.
After being graduated in Law from the University of Namur, she decided to take up a challenge and left Belgium to study European and International Law in Strasbourg, France. She finished her curriculum in France where she earned a Master ‘degree in European Business Law from the University of Nancy.
Caroline is Belgian national and resident of France. She is fluent in French, English and Russian. Mother of a 4 years old curly little girl, Caroline will get married in 2020. Caroline enjoys pastime such as Scuba Diving, travelling and enjoying simple things with her family.
