Andrea Carettoni

Andrea Carettoni has more than twenty years of professional experience in the Media sector. Throughout his career, he has combined the main areas of competence that he developed in his academic studies, namely financial and operational audit, financial management, accounting, financial analysis, economics and organization.

Since 1999 he has held several managerial positions within an Italian television Network listed on the Milan Stock Exchange as Head of Internal Auditor department, Risk Manager and, for ten years, Head office of the Luxembourg holding Company for participations and financial investments of the Italian group.

From 2008 to 2010 he also worked as Chief Financial Officer for a Tunisian television network as Head of the Financial and Treasury Department, Audit Department, Management Control, Human Resources Department, Purchasing Office and Legal and Corporate Department.

Andrea Carettoni, residing professionally in Luxembourg, is mandated as a board member of several Luxembourg-based international companies, predominantly in media and advertising sector. 

In addition he is Managing Director of Horizon Media s.a.r.l. an advertising company based in Luxembourg, specialized in digital marketing.

Alberto Carrasco

Alberto Carrasco holds 20 years of extensive experience in financial markets, Portfolio & Asset Management and Institutional Customer Relationship. As director of Global markets of Banco Espirito Santo Investment, he managed an equity and derivatives portfolio and has in-depth knowledge of asset classes, strategic Hedging and Risk management. He was an Executive board member and had representative responsibilities with Market regulators, depositaries and Prime Brokers. 

Alberto was co-founder of an investment firm specialized in investment advisory services, partnership agreements offering portfolio management and risk spreading for mandate funds. He has also experience as entrepreneur after running an e-business partnership. 

Currently working for John  Deere Bank, SA in the Risk area, where he authorized and managed the dealers’ credit facilities across Europe and Middle East countries.

Alberto Graduated in Economics and Business Administration by CUNEF University and holds a Master in Portfolio Management & Financial Markets by IE Business School. He speaks fluent Spanish, English and has an intermediate level of French."

Philippe Couture

Philippe Couture is a former Private Bank Executive in Luxembourg with 40 years of experience in France, Switzerland and Luxembourg. Retired since April the 1rst, he has been a regulator approved bank director in Luxembourg.

After an early career in the industry by the Henkel Group where he was in charge of accounting and finance in a French based sub, he moved to the banking sector. He held several position by Soc Gen Group in France and Switzerland, at Head Office level in Paris and in branches in Lyon and in Geneva, dealing with various activities such as, budget controlling and auditing, Asset Management mid-office, Commercial banking and Private banking (domestic and international).

From mid-97 he joined Neuflize-OBC (ABN Amro group in France) as Head of Branch (Lyon district) dealing with Private and Commercial banking. In 2000 he took up at Head Office level, role of anti-money laundering officer, deputy Head of Internal Control and the position of Head of Operational Control for the bank and the asset management companies in France.

He went back to Private Banking in 2007 to be in charge, in Paris, of non-profitable organization’s sector. Having the opportunity of moving abroad, he joined, in early 2011, ABN Amro Switzerland as MD, senior RM in the Geneva branch, dealing as international private banker with the French speaking market. After the takeover of AA Switzerland by Union Bancaire Privée, end of 2011, he joined the Private Banking department as MD in the French desk.

Early 2016 he moved to Luxembourg to Union Bancaire Privée (Europe) as Head of Private Banking, subsequently he became CEO of the subsidiary. Since mid-2018, he was European Hub Program Manager for Luxembourg.

Philippe is French national and Luxembourg-city resident.He was graduated from NEOMA Business School and holds a Master at Laws (Paris-II University); he holds also a finance certification issued by ABN Amro / INSEAD

Benoît de Hults

Benoît de Hults started his career in different prestigious financial institutions in Belgium.  In 1989 he moves permanently to Luxembourg to manage the private banking department at the Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild. He contributes actively to the development of the Bank by leading the implementation of branches in Portugal and in Belgium which he will lead from 2003 to 2007.

He then joins CapitalatWork as CEO of the headquarters in Luxembourg and participates actively in the acquisition of this independent wealth management company by Foyer Group S.A. 

As Chief Financial Officer of CapitalatWork Foyer Group and as Head of Compliance, he was member of the Executive Committee and of the Executive Board until 2018 and is currently Managing Director and Chairman of CapitalatWork Foyer Group Management Company.

Benoît has developed over the years a broad expertise in private banking, investment funds, accounting and compliance.

Besides his passion for finance and spending time with family, Benoît enjoys golfing, travelling and has developed a keen interest for Real Estate.

Doris Marx

Doris Marx is a senior financial industry professional with 25 years of experience in asset management and global fund industry. The last 20 years she was working for Deutsche Asset Management Luxembourg, thereof more than 12 years as Managing Director, member of the Executive Board and Chair of various Luxembourg SICAVs. 

Main areas of expertise: Corporate and investment fund governance, corporate strategy, distribution strategy, new business development, project management, cross cultural leadership.

Stuart Middleton

Stuart Middleton is an experienced international non-life insurance professional, with more than 30 years' experience in the UK, Continental European and Nordic insurance markets.

Stuart is currently Chief Executive Officer and Dirigeant Agréé of CNA Insurance Company (Europe), S.A., which was established in Luxembourg in 2018, being the Continental European subsidiary of major USA insurer CNA. Prior to joining CNA in 2017, Stuart spent 16 years at leading specialist non-life insurer Hiscox, based in the UK and France, the last 8 years of which were as Chief Underwriting Officer for Hiscox's entire Continental European portfolio, based in Paris.   Prior to transferring to the Continental European business, Stuart managed portfolios and branch offices in the UK and Ireland, also establishing Hiscox's operations in Ireland, Spain and Sweden. 

Stuart brings a wealth of expertise across multiple geographies and classes of non-life insurance and many years' experience as a Board Director, working with regulators, reinsurers, brokers and directly with customers. He also holds a Masters Degree in Business and Administration from the Open University in the UK and is a Chartered Insurer. 

Born in Scotland, Stuart has dual Republic of Ireland and UK nationality and therefore is very much a European citizen.  In addition to his native English, Stuart speaks fluent business French and Spanish and conversational Portuguese and German.  He is married with three adult children and enjoys walking, playing piano and clarinet and exploring Luxembourg's beautiful towns, countryside and culture. . 

Christine O'Bright

Christine O'Bright has worked more than 20 years in the financial services industry and her experience covers a wide range of activities. These include administration and custodian services for UCITS and AIFs, performance & analytics for a prominent asset manager, and implementation of GDPR procedures for an IT company. In addition, Christine has recently become an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coach Federation (ICF) and is actively working with people within the financial industry to support them on their path to professional and personal development. She is also a CFA charterholder.

Christine spent 10 years working as a Client Relationship Manager at State Street Bank where she was responsible for managing profitability, identifying cross-selling opportunities and presenting industry initiatives and regulatory changes to institutional clients and Fund boards. For the last 4 years, Christine was Deputy Head of the department which included 18 relationship managers and support staff. 

Christine speaks fluent French and English is her mother tongue.

Christian Schackmann

Christian has over 20 years of hands-on financial markets experience as a Trader / Portfolio Manager with major banks and Hedge Funds in London and Frankfurt.

Back to his home country, he is now focusing on Non-Executive Director and Portfolio Manager roles for UCITS and AIFMD Funds in order to add substance and diversity to corporate governance for the ever growing demand of Alternative Investments Funds in Luxembourg.

Christian spent the last 10 years as a quantitative Portfolio Manager with US Hedge Funds of the likes of Citadel and Capstone. As a keen Python coder, he there developed a back testing infrastructure to run strategies in a systematic way by combining different asset classes, AI, portfolio construction and risk management tools in order to exploit market inefficiencies and generate superior risk adjusted returns. He was also a Partner at Paris Capital Advisors where its performance was nominated several times for awards.

Prior to that, Christian spent 9 years with Citi in London where he was the Head of Options Trading managing a team of traders in charge of pricing and Risk Management of derivatives and Alternative Investments on several exchanges and jurisdictions. 

His career started as a bond trader with Credit Suisse in Luxembourg and then Frankfurt.

Christian is a Luxembourgish national and has a post graduate degree from the French Grande Ecole de Commerce, ESCP Europe, and is fluent in English, German, French and Luxembourgish.

Dirk Schulze

Dirk Schulze is a Senior Executive in Asset Management, proven Conducting Officer and a member of a variety of Boards. He is building-upon an overall Banking and Asset-Servicing background and has devoted his whole professional career to the financial services and asset management industry, taking organizations to a higher level in terms of Compliance, Distribution, Governance, Products, Risk Management and Structure. Dirk is acquainted with providing in-depth and hands-on advice on the full lifecycle of a multitude of investment vehicles, AIFMs and Management Companies.

Dirk Schulze has earned his Master of Business Administration from École de Management at Lyon in France and holds Bachelor degrees from both Leeds Beckett University in the United Kingdom and Hochschule Bremen in Germany. 

He is fluent in German, English, French and Luxembourgish.

Dirk’s career path encompasses Big-4-positions, both as external auditor and consultant, as well as appointments as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer within the industry.

Sabine Solheid

Sabine Solheid is Corporate Service Manager at Compagnie Financière de Gestion Luxembourg S.A., a wholly owned subsidiary of Banque de Luxembourg SA., which serves as Family Office of the bank.

She works in the wealth management of HNWI clients, in particular the set-up and management of domiciled companies, the development of consolidation reportings and the coordination of tax and investment advisory for international customers.

From 2000 to 2010 she was Financial Controller and deputy Head of the Finance Department. As Project Manager, she was responsible for the introduction of IFRS at the Bank and for the development of reporting and management control tools. She provided and controlled financial reportings in Luxgaap, IFRS and USGAAP.

Previously, Sabine worked as Accountant Manager for Deloitte Luxembourg, where she get experience in tax, labour and corporate law.

Sabine holds a master degree in Management Science at HEC Liege. She speaks fluently German, French and English and Luxembourgish.

Ronald Vrancken

As of January 2015 Ronald Vrancken holds the position of country CEO at Siemens Luxembourg, managing the overall Siemens portfolio (sales and services) for the Luxembourgian market.

Before he spent 23 years at Siemens Industry Divisions in different functions in Germany, Canada and Belgium. Between 2010 and 2014 he was General Manager for the Vertical Market Segment “Water & Waste Water” in Siemens Headquarters, with responsibility for the worldwide Siemens business towards public and private players in the water industry.

During his engineering career, he gained solid experience in International Industry and Infrastructure Markets and acquired extensive knowledge in the domain of electrical engineering, automation and industrial IT. Currently he has taken the challenge to develop digitalization solutions for multiple fields of industry.

He holds a Master of Electromechanical Engineering at the Catholic University of Leuven (BELGIUM) and Master of Business Administration at the EDHEC Business school of Lille (FRANCE).
