Topic 2: The Climate Emergency Board response strategy
On this second webinar out of the 7 webinar series the following issues and questions will be covered:
Corporate Strategy, Business Model & supply chain will be directly impacted by the climate emergency. The key question is your Board/CEO developing an urgent response to be part of the solution or is it persisting with a business as usual strategy and as such remain part of the problem?
Has your Board assessed the potential high risk
Which UNSDG's must the business focus on to impact the green recovery?
Has the Board a “Climate Emergency Response Strategy” which covers the following:
A Fossil Fuel exit strategy by 2030
A Climate emergency mitigation and adaptation Strategy
Is the Company part of the problem of global warming/Climate emergency, or does it target to be part of the solution?
Does the company have a ‘sustainable procurement’ policy and strategy?
Does the company have a policy on banning and boycotting ‘single use plastics’?
This webinar will conclude with a panel discussion with Luxembourg professionals who will express their views on how each of the topics fits into the global and local business environment and respond to questions by the participants.
During this webinar series the participants will be inspired to develop a ‘Company specific – ‘21st Century Board Leadership strategy’ template using the model. This will be reviewed by Dr Ravi Fernando and Raymond Schadeck at the end of the course. The Objective is that every participant takes back a proposal to the company Board/CEO to build on and create a 21st Century Board strategy based on the learning. Every participant should be able to answer the question, ‘What was your learning and how will it benefit our company?
