Justin is a partner in Deloitte specialising in the asset management industry. He has worked for Deloitte in South Africa, in the U.S.A and, for the past 15 years, in Luxembourg. His experience is focused on leading audit engagements of Management Companies, UCITS and Private Debt Funds in Luxembourg for a number of global asset managers. He co-leads the Corporate Governance Centre for Deloitte in Luxembourg and is a member of the ILA Fund Governance Committee and co-chair of the ALFI Corporate Governance forum.
Nenad works as Director with Deloitte Luxembourg’s tax practice and has more than 15 years of professional experience serving the banking and asset management industry in Luxembourg and abroad. He is responsible for Deloitte’s investment management tax and operational tax service offerings. In addition, he specializes in the fields of Luxembourg corporate tax, fund tax (both mainstream and alternative investment funds), investor taxation, portfolio tax management and tax transparency regimes such as FATCA, CRS and DAC6.
Nenad has also been involved in various engagements related to the assessment, design and implementation of tax governance and tax control frameworks. He has been involved in the drafting and review of tax policies and procedures for a variety of banks and asset managers in Luxembourg and Ireland. He has also carried out substance reviews for tax purposes in light of the recent developments in international tax (e.g. BEPS).
Nenad is an active member of various industry bodies (ALFI, ABBL, EFAMA) on various tax matters of interest to the industry. He is a regular speaker on tax topics in conferences and has authored several articles in Luxembourg and abroad.
Before joining Deloitte in 2016, Nenad was working in an in-house role with ING Investment Management where he was responsible for the Belgian, French, Italian and Luxemburg tax affairs for the management companies and local fund ranges.
Mike is an assurance partner specializing in the asset management industry. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Baltimore, Maryland where he worked for 8 years before transferring to the New York office in 2004. In 2007 Mike transferred to our office in Luxembourg.
His experience has focused on leading audit engagements across a number of worldwide companies, including a wide spectrum of investment funds - equities, fixed income, emerging markets, hedge funds, private equity funds, as well as corporate audits including banks, broker/dealers and investment advisors.
Since relocating in Luxembourg, Mike has spent a significant amount of time in the fund industry primarily covering US and UK promoters which included responsibilities for actively promoting Luxembourg in the US as well as the UK. He is leading our Blockchain/Crypto team in Lux which involves working with local and international players active in this space. He is also chairing the Institut Luxembourgeois des Administrateurs (ILA) Fund Committee and is a member of the ALFI Fund Governance Forum.
