Course outline
This module aims to provide an overview of the increasingly complex topic of ICT governance and equip directors with the knowledge and toolkit to ask the right questions in carrying out oversight responsibilities at board level.
The module explores information and communication technology (ICT) governance including ICT security and risk management, ICT outsourcing, personal data, Digital signature, FinTech, and how, as a director, such ICT risks may be managed. Key regulations such as DORA will be covered. It will use practical examples and mini-workshops to enliven the topic as well as providing guidance on the types of questions board directors should be asking in carrying out oversight on an organisation’s ICT infrastructure. It also explores how directors can ensure security over their own affairs. A guest speaker will briefly explore digital assets.
