KUSKE Joachim, Governance Partners
Joachim Kuske offers independent non-executive director services for regulated (UCITS, SIF) and unregulated fund vehicles (AIF, RAIF, Partnership structures), Investment Fund Managers (IFM), special purpose vehicles and other corporate entities.
Joachim has gained more than 20 years of practical professional experience in the asset management industry. He began his career in the legal department of Caceis Investor Services before moving to the law firms, Delwaide Avocats and later Elvinger Hoss Prussen (a top tier Luxembourg law firm), where he advised clients on asset management and investment funds. Joachim then worked for over 5 years with VP Fund Solutions, a Luxembourg investment fund manager belonging to the Liechtenstein-based VP Bank Group. There he acted as CSSF approved conducting officer and member of the board of directors and was mainly responsible for legal, compliance and governance matters. He assisted clients in ensuring on-going compliance with the evolution of the UCITS and AIF regulatory frameworks. From 2014 until 2017, Joachim returned to Elvinger Hoss Prussen, to assist clients with questions related to UCITS V, the AIFMD and with the structuring of alternative investment vehicles and partnerships in various asset classes.
The asset classes in the portfolios of Joachim’s clients range from liquid securities to private equity, real estate, infrastructure, debt and venture capital.
He is a member of the board of directors of the Luxembourg Director Institute (ILA) and its vice-chair. He chairs the ILA board's Nomination and Remuneration Committee and is also an active member of the Committee on Financial Companies and the Fund Committee and a regular lecturer at ILA’s training offers. In addition, he is co-chairman of the PE/VC publications committee of the Association of the Luxembourg Investment Funds (ALFI).
