Job offer : Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
ILA (Institut Luxembourgeois des Administrateurs) is seeking a proven leader with a passion for governance, understanding and connections to the Luxembourg marketplace, and a compelling vision of the Director profession to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Who we search
The CEO is responsible for providing strategic, financial, and operational leadership for the organisation; and making key decisions that will affect the association's direction on its path for sustainable growth. The CEO will closely coordinate and work with the Executive team and the Board and its sub committees.
Governance is at the heart of a sustainable future and as the world and our profession pivot, we require a CEO who has the following attributes;
Professional – The CEO is highly skilled with senior experience in a professional context. Appropriate qualities and skills are required including those relevant to developing and driving strategy, monitoring expectations of stakeholders and ensuring alignment of events, training and advocacy initiatives with current market trends and strategy. Professional gravitas is required to establish credibility and rapport with ILAs members and relevant partners and agencies in the local and international marketplace.
The CEO should possess strong managerial and executive skills to deal with the full range of management activities for a large diverse membership by a dedicated staff supported by a large network of volunteer members in various ILA Working Committees. The CEO has overall responsibility for personnel management, financial management, legal issues, and all other aspects of management.
Communication and Representation – The CEO is a key spokesperson and representative for ILA among the membership and local and international community. The CEO must respond to the varied interests of ILA membership and ensure these are reflected in ILA offerings
Entrepreneurial – The CEO is expected to further develop ILA and exploit its potential to achieve greater recognition and impact. Entrepreneurial activities include – diversification of revenue base, and enhancement of influence and advocacy
Personal Competencies - The CEO must be open minded, impartial in resolving conflicts, understand and embrace diversity and respect differences, a good team leader, innovative, forward-thinking and with sensitivity to different cultures.

To facilitate interaction, the individual should be fluent in written and spoken French and English. The ability to communicate in Luxembourgish and German are considered a benefit.
Experience and understanding of the role of a director through previous/current experience as a member of a board would be beneficial as well as understanding and connection to the Luxembourg ecosystem.
