The Luxembourg Valuation Professionals Association (LVPA) has been officially launched
On 15 November, the Luxembourg Valuation Professionals Association celebrated its official launch. The event attracted over 150 guests interested to learn more about this emerging and exciting profession in Luxembourg.

The LVPA mission statement is to “lead and represent the valuation profession in Luxembourg, by promoting the highest standards of ethics, professional excellence and expertise, education for the ultimate benefit of its members and its community.”

The association is currently driven by a Founding Committee of 20 valuation professionals representing the diversity of the valuation profession in Luxembourg. The Founding Committee elected four representatives: Christophe Vandendorpe, Hind El Gaidi, Rafaël Le Saux and Antoine Boggini.

During the launch event, Christophe Vandendorpe (president of LVPA’s founding committee) outlined the LVPA’s vision and the interest for professionals to embrace a career in valuation. Nick Talbot (CEO International Valuation Standards Council) transitioned with highlighting the importance of building trust in valuations and Claude Wampach (Director Banking Supervision at CSSF) subsequently shared the regulator’s angle on the valuation association. LVPA’s vice presidents, Rafaël Le Saux and Antoine Boggini, continued the event by providing a detailed overview of benefits members could enjoy upon joining the LVPA and shedding some further light on the association’s organizational setup. To close the first part of the evening, Hind El Gaidi (vice president LVPA), led an unedited and insightful panel discussion with experts including Solenne Niedercorn (NED & Senior Advisor), Yann Magnan (CEO 73 Strings) and Nick Talbot exchanging on the challenges and trends in valuations today.

LVPA’s key objective is to foster networking and exchanging between members, which could be further underlined during a nice networking drink with all guests as the final part of the event.
