This event explores the ongoing retailisation of alternative investment funds (AIFs) investing in illiquid assets. It is designed to help fund industry professionals – especially retail AIF Directors and IFMs – understand market trends in retail AIFs, their investors, distribution and characteristics, the view of the Regulator, represented by the CSSF, EU initiatives, presented by LSFI, and practical challenges as alternative strategies become increasingly accessible to retail investors.

The interactive panel discussion will then focus on good practices from the Director’s standpoint, addressing key pressure points such as risks, the role of the CIO, costs, liquidity management and investor redemptions as well as investor education.
