Guy Modert used to be the first Chief Governance Officer of POST Luxembourg, and acted, during more than 25 years, as first Company Secretary of Entreprise des Postes et Télécommunications, since its incorporation as a Public, Stated-owned company (« établissement public »), by virtue of the Law of August 10th, 1992. He also assured company secretarial services for some subsidiaries of the POST Luxembourg Group over the years.
Guy joined the former ILA Company Secretaries Committee in 2013 as Vice-Chairman and is, since then, a member thereof, as well as the newly created Corporate Governance Officers’ Committee CGO) and the Non-Government Organizations’ Committee (NGO).
Guy actually ensures the function of Legal Counsel at the Luxembourg Civil Servants Union – CGFP – and voluntarily acts as Corporate Governance Officer of the Luxembourg Federation of Mutual Benefit Societies – FNML.
Guy holds a Master’s Degree in Business Law and a Diploma in Banking and Finance Techniques of the University Robert Schuman of Strasbourg (France), as well as a Postgraduate Degree in Leadership Development of the University of Exeter (UK). He also followed specialized trainings in Corporate Governance by CAMPBELLS COLLEGE, chartered with ICSA, and a Corporate Governance programme, specifically designed for the Board members of POST Luxembourg, by INSEAD.
