Graham Cope is the Head of the Institutional Asset Management Division within the European Investment Fund (EIF). EIF is one of the largest investors in the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Asset class. Graham joined the EIF in 2006 and has undertaken a variety of senior roles in developing the mandate management business stream with a focus on Northern Europe. Since 2017, he has led the creation of this new division focussed on managing assets for Institutional Investors. This now includes an additional role as Member of the Board of the 'Asset Management Umbrella Fund' which is a structured vehicle for the management of Institutional Investors commitments to the European Private Equity asset class.
Graham has over 30 years experience in the financial industry which includes previous roles in SME & Corporate Banking at Lloyds Bank (London); International Strategic Project implementation for Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong, Singapore & Malaysia) and Strategic Projects at Deutsche Börse/Clearstream (Luxembourg). Graham has a Bachelors Degree from the University of Portsmouth; an MBA from the University of Bradford Business School and a further Masters degree from the Luxembourg School of Finance.
Tom De fauw
Tom De fauw is a highly skilled finance executive with numerous international assignments and mandated board member on some BENELUX companies. As managing director for a Luxembourg investment holding, Tom brings a wide range of expertise in private equity, finance and business development. Within his permanent responsibilities Tom covers the entire investment management value chain from strategic, operational and regulatory perspective.
Prior to moving to Luxembourg, Tom has gained more than 10 years’ experience in the energy sector, including various expat assignments (South America and Northern Europe). Tom is proficient in four languages (English, French, Dutch and Spanish) and has an entrepreneurial spirit, with a passion for business origination, people management and sustainability.
He holds a master degree in commercial and financial sciences and has a post-university degree in financial analysis.
Lorenzo was born in Rome in 1976. He obtained a doctoral degree in law from University of Roma Tre and was awarded an international diploma in business administration with distinction from University of California Berkeley. He worked for Merrill Lynch in the USA and ABN AMRO in Italy. He has been residing in Luxembourg since 2006, where over the years he has managed a large number of structuring and restructuring projects on behalf of banks, financial institutions of different size and type, and family offices.
In 2013 he founded Finconsulting Sarl, an independent provider of advisory services in the implementation, administration and management of the full range of investment vehicles and structures, regulated or not, of which he is managing partner. Finconsulting clients are corporations, fund promoters, fund managers, wealth managers, UHNWI and family offices worldwide. The firm closely supports them during the decision-making process and throughout the implementation as well as the management and the consolidation stage.
Lorenzo has a deep and broad experience both in investment management and creation, structural management and improvement.
He has lived in Rome, Milan, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Luxembourg, and is fluent in Italian, English and French.
He is a member of ALFI (Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry) and the Alumni Association of University of California Berkeley.
Jean-Marie began his career with PetroFina, the Belgian oil company, as auditor in 1987. He has held various sales, marketing, organisational and management roles. In 1999, he was named general manager of Polifarb Cieszyn in Wroclaw, the leading polish paint and coatings manufacturer. In 2002, he moved to France as managing director, Architectural coatings southern Europe, for SigmaKalon. He was a member of the SigmaKalon Group Management Board under the ownership of Bain Capital. He joined PPG Industries Inc. with the acquisition of SigmaKalon Group in January 2008. He moved to Switzerland when he was named vice president, automotive coatings Europe, in October 2010 and assumed additional responsibility for the EMEA region as president, PPG EMEA, in February 2013. He became a member of PPG Operating Comittee from September 2015. In March 2016 he was appointed to the role of Senior Vice President, Global Architectural Coatings. Jean-Marie left PPG in January 2019 to focus on his personal investments.
In 2015, Jean-Marie invested in Aremis Group s.a., an SME specialised in workspace solution, based in Brussels and active in Belgium, France, Luxembourg and Switzerland. He is the Chairman of the Board.
Jean-Marie has a broad senior leadership experience in global industrial and distribution organisations, with a strong focus on strategy to improve business performance, drive growth, execute business transformation. He has managed multiple accretive acquisitions. He has a succesful experience in PE investment.
A native of Brussels, Jean-Marie earned a diploma in business administration from Solvay Business School at the University of Brussels. He speaks four languages (French, Dutch, Polish and English).
Married with 3 children Jean-Marie is passionate about ski touring, mountaineering, hunting, forestry and nature. He lives with his wife Louise in Lausanne, Switzerland.
With over 25 years of experience Francis Heymans proves to be passionate about the Asset Management industry in Europe and aspires to add value as board member in investment structures.
Francis Heymans is a former Managing Partner at the Petercam Group where, till 2015, he headed the international business development of Petercam Institutional Asset Management. Over the years he built up a full scope of investment strategies, a pan-European fund distribution network and offered solutions in the areas of pension funds, insurance companies and other institutional investors. He was mandated as board member in the ManCo, UCITS and Asset Services company in Belgium and Luxemburg.
Francis started his career in 1990 in New York as a sell-side broker for Petercam and in 1995 he became CEO of Camrail Cash Services. Most recently he accomplished a turnaround at Dailycer in France, a pan-European breakfast cereal producer.
Francis Heymans has a Guberna certification (Board Effectiveness) and is a General Securities Representative of NYSE. He holds masters in Applied Economics (KU Leuven), in Finance (ABAF) and in Marketing (Vlerick School for Management). He speaks Dutch, French and English.
Throughout his career, Luc has worked in a number of senior management roles within Banque Internationale à Luxembourg and on activities delivering added value and positive results including:
6 years in Private Banking, implementing the wealth management strategy and providing wealth structuring and planning support to client advisors;
11 years in Wealth Management as head of discretionary and advisory management, developing a broad expertise in discretionary mandates, advisory services, ucits and hedge funds selection, life insurances set up and tailor-made structured products modelling;
16 years in Treasury, Capital Market, Derivatives and Credit Risk Management, with senior roles such as launching new structured issues through the EMTN programme, managing the bank investment portfolio with frn, asset swaps, abs, credit derivatives, … creating the repo desk with tri-party agreements (Bank of New York, Euroclear, Cedel), managing a derivative desk (fra, futures, irs, caps, swaptions, …) and the treasury.
Luc has also been an executive director with major BIL funds such as Dexia BIL Bonds, Equities L, Quant, World Alternative, …
He is Belgian – Luxembourgish, fluent in French and English and enjoys golf, ski, mountain bike and trekking.
Ivan Petrenko acts as a director for USDC SlotLogic S.à r.l. and Luxembourg-Russian Business Chamber a.s.b.l.. He also consults companies in asset management sector.
Prior to his current role, Ivan worked as a Managing Director / Conducting officer in an investment management company and served as a member of the Board of Directors in a regulated fund and unregulated vehicles.
Ivan has accounting and auditing background: from 2006 to 2013, Ivan worked in KPMG Luxembourg and Cayman Islands. During this time, he worked as a manager in audit and advisory departments servicing clients in banking, asset management, retails and manufacturing sectors.
Ivan is a qualified accountant in Illinois (USA) and England and Wales (UK) and holds degrees in Economics and Laws. He is bilingual in English and Russian
Katia Scheidecker is a corporate lawyer with extensive executive management experience and entrepreneurial skills. She co-founded and was the Managing Partner of MNKS, one of the top 10 independent law firm in Luxembourg which recently rebranded as PwC Legal.
After an early career as a commercial and general litigation attorney she started to focus on corporate and ICT law when joining Landwell Luxembourg where she successively co headed the corporate team and launched the Technologies and IP department.
In 2004, together with Mrs Noble, she launched the firm MNKS by taking over 25 people of the former Landwell team, setting up new practice teams and structuring the various support teams of the firm developing the firm to up to 75 staff and 9 partners.
Acting as lead counsel on numerous corporate and M&A projects involving mainly US clients, amongst which some leading e-commerce and telecommunication companies, she developed significant boardroom experience and acted as trusted advisor to key board members on a full range of subjects including corporate governance, director responsibility, commercial, regulatory and transaction matters.
Katia holds a Master degree in law and a Postgraduate diploma in criminal law from Université Robert Schuman Strasbourg and is a member of the Luxembourg Bar Association since 1996.
