Jean-Philippe Balon has accumulated extensive experience across various sectors and countries, serving as a dedicated advisor to Boards, Audit & Risk committees, and CEOs. He is well-known for his adeptness in communicating effectively in multicultural environments and with all stakeholders.

Having held positions as CEO, COO, CFO, Legal Director, and Sales Director in diverse industries such as life and non-life insurance, as well as consumer goods, Jean-Philippe brings a wealth of expertise in risk assessment, compliance, product design and Solvency 2 supervision. This background has enabled him to contribute to different boards as a Non-Executive Director (NED) in areas including life insurance, brokerage holding, UCITS fund, and financial companies. He has also served on Audit & Risk committees.

Among his notable accomplishments, Jean-Philippe has chaired the International Life Commission as a board member within the ACA. He has also been recognized, intuitu personae, as member of the CAA's Anti-Money Laundering expert group. His successful personal negotiation with Belgian authorities in 2005, celebrated as a "white knight" by the Luxembourg local press, played a pivotal role in saving 1,500 jobs in Luxembourg. At the age of 29, he already had the opportunity to be involved in handling a merger and acquisition (M&A).

He holds two Master's Degrees in Actuarial Sciences and Applied Economics from UCLouvain in Belgium.
