    • Biography

    Marjolijne Droogleever Fortuyn is a lawyer and a certified independent director.

    She completed the INSEAD International Directors Program. Marjolijne is also a member of the ILA Board and chairs the Remuneration and Nomination Committee of ILA.

    After working in the corporate and EU law departments in a major law firm in The Hague and in Brussels, Marjolijne has been working in the Luxembourg financial sector for more than 25 years.

    Among others, she was Head of Legal and Human Resources of ABN AMRO Bank (Luxembourg).

    In 2018 she joined BGL BNP Paribas, as “Chargée de mission” in the CEO’s office. As from 1 November 2019, she has taken up the function of Head of Legal Affairs of BNP Paribas.

    Marjolijne graduated in law from the Universities of Utrecht and Cambridge.

    She fluently speaks Dutch, English, French, Luxembourgish and has a good knowledge of German.
