Since June 2023, Alain has been advisor to the CEO of Baloise Luxembourg, held by the Swiss based Insurance Company Baloise. Baloise Luxembourg covers the whole scope of insurance products for private and corporate clients in Luxembourg, and has also a large activity in Life Insurance linked to Investment products especially designed for European HNWI clients.

He did his whole career in the Insurance sector, and has been for the last 24 years member of the Executive Commitee of AXA and Baloise in Luxembourg. During that period, he was in charge for several business lines (Life, Health, Non-Life) and had for the last 8 years the position as CFO (Chief Financial Officer) and CRO (Chief Risk Officer). 

Alain is member of the Board of Directors of 2 Baloise-owned Insurance Companies and of several Investment vehicules (SICAV, RAIF) of Baloise. He is also member of the Board of ACA (Association des Compagnies d’Assurances) and member of technical commissions of the Insurance Regulatory Authority (CAA). 

He studied Mathematics at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and is member of ILAC (Institut luxembourgeois des Actuaires). Furthermore he participated at the Insead IDP (Independent Director Program) and is an ILA Certified Director. He speaks fluent Luxemburgish, German, French and English.
