HOFFMANN Romain, Luxembourg Business Angel Network (LBAN) ASBL

In 2017, after being an investor for decades, Romain discovered his passion for startups, joined LBAN and has since been actively investing as a business angel with a preference for B2B SAAS and B2C business models. He currently holds a portfolio of about 20 startups and several board positions. In 2020, he joined the board of LBAN and has since led the newly created investment committee.

During more than 30 years in the corporate finance banking sector, Romain maintained close relationships with entrepreneurs and gained expertise in corporate analysis and finance for companies of all sizes and activities.

He holds a master's degree in business administration and finance, a postgraduate degree in applied sciences (algorithms and programming) and a postgraduate degree in bank affairs from the European Banking Academy.

Romain is known for his perseverance, strong mindset, positive spirit, problem-solving and analytical skills. He focuses on collaboration with management teams, financial performance, product development, go-to-market strategy, UX/UI, scalability, operations and automation processes, guiding companies to the next step of development.
