PAPAGEORGOPOULOS Anastasia, NATO

Anastasia is a Senior Governance Officer with nearly two decades of experience at NATO, currently based within the Chairperson’s Office of the NATO Support and Procurement Organisation in Luxembourg.

Throughout her extensive tenure, she has cultivated an instinctive understanding of corporate governance principles and best practices, whether in establishing governance processes for new entities or adapting longstanding processes to improve Board effectiveness and transparency. She has taken the role of Secretary in several multinational Boards, Committees and Working Groups and is a trusted advisor to Chairpersons and Board Directors alike who rely on her corporate knowledge and governance expertise in exercising their mandates.

Anastasia holds Canadian, Greek, and Luxembourgish nationalities. She earned a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College London and completed NATO’s Executive Development Programme. Fluent in English, French, and Greek, she also possesses conversational proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese.

In recognition of her dedication to governance excellence, Anastasia joined the “Institut Luxembourgeois des Administrateurs” (ILA) in 2021 and obtained INSEAD’s Certificate in Corporate Governance (IDP-C) in 2022. She serves as a member of ILA’s "Corporate Governance Officer (CGO) Committee" and has recently assumed the role of Luxembourg Ambassador for INSEAD’s International Director’s Network (IDN).
