FLAMAND Thierry, Commissariat aux Assurances

Thierry Flamand has 25 years' experience in the insurance industry. His main areas of experience are individual/group life insurance, insurance mergers and acquisitions, insurance risk management and pension funds. He has acquired solid experience in the insurance, reinsurance and pensions sectors with a wide range of assignments thanks to his previous positions in consultancy firms and insurance companies.

Due to his location in Luxembourg, Thierry is used to dealing with several foreign practices and regulations. He has acquired credentials that make him a recognised expert in actuarial, local and international regulation in the insurance and pension sectors, on which he is regularly consulted by professional and regulatory bodies.

Since January 2021, he has been Chairman of the Management Committee of the Commissariat aux Assurances (CAA). Thierry holds a Master's Degree in mathematics and actuarial sciences from the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
