The European Green Deal and related Action Plan has led to several legislative measures supporting the transition to a more sustainable and inclusive economy; transparency to stakeholders is one of the main objectives.
In this evolving landscape, Directors have a pivotal role to integrate ESG into the entity’s DNA not only to ensure compliance with applicable Regulations and Directives, but to build the long term success of the entity. Communication to stakeholders is integral: Directors need to ensure that the appropriate approach is taken in relation to processes and controls ensuring reliable and complete information.
The objective of this module is to provide an overview on EU ESG journey: we will focus on disclosures and reporting regulatory requirements provided by the three ESG reporting pillars of the EU sustainable finance strategy: SFDR, EU taxonomy and CSRD (replacing NFRD) addressing current and future requirements.
