Effective corporate governance is a cornerstone of sustainable business success. In an era of increasing stakeholder expectations and regulatory scrutiny, Boards of Directors are expected to function with the highest standards of accountability, transparency, and strategic foresight. Board assessments play a crucial role in ensuring governance bodies remain fit for purpose, continuously improve their effectiveness and adapt to evolving challenges. To gain some insights into this area and to build on the market survey undertaken in 2018 , Deloitte Luxembourg and ILA partnered to conduct the 2024 Board Evaluation Effectiveness Survey.
You will learn about the major developments in board assessment market practices in Luxembourg since the 2018 survey, and gain perspectives from Executive Directors (EDs) and Non-Executive Directors (NEDs), as well as Corporate Governance Officers (CGOs), on the added value of board assessment processes. The significant elements of this survey will be discussed at this conference and the results will be made available in a dedicated publication.
