Dear ILA Member,
Once you have completed both certification modules (The Essentials Luxembourg and The Essentials Universal) and having a minimum of four years experience as a Board member of one or more entities performing significant economic activities, you are eligible to become an ILA Certified Director.
Please provide the following documents in order to submit your application:
- A cover letter describing sufficiently in detail your job positions and your experience as a member of a Board of Directors
- The application form duly completed and signed
- The certificate(s) of training completion for the Module "The Essentials Universal"
- The ILA Code of Conduct duly signed (including a CPD Commitment)
- A professional up-to-date Curriculum Vitae
- The list of past and present mandates, bearing in mind that you must demonstrate 4 years of experience as a member of a Board of Directors of one or more entities performing significant economic activities
- An extract of police record from Luxembourg and/or your residency country if different, which must be dated less than 3 months.

Once completed, please upload all your documents below.
Once received, your application will be reviewed by the ILA Executive Committee, this review is done on a quarterly basis. Upon approval, you will receive a confirmation email.
