Since January 2011 Dr. Michael Böhm is Managing Director and COO of HSBC Asset Management, Germany. Before that he served as Deputy Head of Legal and Compliance and Head of Capital Markets Law at HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt, where he was a member of the Legal Department since 1998. Following the integration of the Private Markets- as well as the Real Estate-Business into HSBC Asset Management in 2021 he is also responsible for Alternatives in Germany. Since 2010 he is a Lecturer at the Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf on Bank- and Investment Law. He is speaking and publishing on a regular basis on Banking- and Capital Markets Law aspects. He has long lasting experience as Member of Supervisory Boards and Member of the Board of Directors in Germany, Switzerland and Luxembourg, also as a Chairman (e.g. HSBC Global Investment Funds, HSBC Portfolios, HSBC Islamic Funds, HSBC Senior UK Direct Lending, HSBC Private Market Management, HSBC Global Asset Management (Switzerland))
