Caroline Buhagiar Klass is the Head of HR for HSBC Commercial Banking Europe and Head of HR for Ireland and Luxembourg as markets. She specialises Corporate Sustainability and Human Resources Startegies in the high-tech and financial services industry. She also advises human resources policies and procedures with a focus on sustainability and corporate governance matters in relation to people.

Previously, she was working for AXA Insurance Asia Ltd. as Head of Global Talent based in Singapore where she drove a number of projects and talent initiatives to prepare the future leaders of AXA in Asia.

Caroline has been identified as a Global Female Leader by Who's Who Business List 2014 where she contributed to the development of numerous initiatives and development programs for Leaders in Asia. She has held a number of Non Executive Directorship roles while she was based in HSBC Malta and continues to sit on a number of internal boards for the bann in her current role across HSBC Europe. 

Caroline has a Diploma in Adult Education from the University of Malta and a Master's Degree in Work Psychology from the University of Leicester, UK. She is a certified Executive Coach by the ICF USA and has numerous certifications in Psychometric Testing and Sustainable Finance. Caroline is originally from Malta and speaks fluently: Maltese, English, Italian, French and intermediate Arabic.
