    • Biography

    Martin Foussek is a senior advisor with Alvarez & Marsal and former board member and conducting officer of a Luxembourg based Chapter 15 ManCo (holding both UCITS & MIFID licenses). He also served as Managing Director of an Austrian regulated securities firm (Wertpapierfirma) since 2015 as well as the Managing Director of an Austrian regulated Tied Agent since 2017, with distribution activities in Germany. 
    Martin Foussek is an expert in Corporate Governance, Regulatory, Distribution as well as Digitalization of regulated financial entities. The uniqueness of his experience stems from founding of a regulated entity in Luxembourg, scaling it to an investor base of more than 20.000 managed accounts, and eventually liquidating the entity voluntarily – all of it in principal positions (board member & shareholder). 
    Martin Foussek started his career with McKinsey & Company, where he was a member of the European Insurance and Asset Management practice. 
    Martin Foussek holds a doctoral degree from the University of Vienna Law School as well as a master’s degree from Columbia University Law School. He was admitted to the New York State Bar Association (retired) and speaks English, Germany (fluent) and Italian (colloquial).
