Biography
Georges Heinrich is member of the Executive Board of Banque Raiffeisen and he is also the bank’s Chief Sustainability Officer. Prior to joining Raiffeisen (in March 2023), Georges worked at Banque de Luxembourg for almost 10 years. He was its Secretary General from 2017 to 2023 and, in that capacity, also coordinated the implementation of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Roadmap of the bank.
Georges joined the banking sector in 2014, after spending his early career in public research and public administration. From 2001 to 2014, he was a civil servant in the Ministry of Finance and from 2009 to 2014, he held the position of Directeur du Trésor.
Georges is an economist by training, holding masters degrees in economics from the universities of Namur and Glasgow and a Ph.D. from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.
