Alain Kinsch serves on the Board of Directors of several companies including Aperam S.A. (Euronext), Arrival S.A. (Nasdaq) and Foyer S.A. and chairs several board committees. Alain is the President of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.

Alain Kinsch is today professionally engaged as advisor in the Private Equity industry and supports several start-ups.

Alain has been auditing and advising Private Equity houses over the past 25 years in his role at EY, creating and leading the EY Private Equity practice from 2004 to 2012 and leading the EY EMEIA Private Equity fund practice from 2009 to 2020. Alain is a member of the High Committee of the Financial Sector where he chairs the Alternative Investment Fund Working Group, a member of the Investment Fund Manager Committee of the CSSF, the co-chairman of the ALFI Private Equity Committee and the co-founder and former Vice-President of the Luxembourg Private Equity Association. 

Alain was the Country Managing Partner of EY Luxembourg between 2009 and 2020. From 1995 to 2002, Alain was an auditor at Arthur Andersen in Luxembourg.

Alain is the Vice-President of the Luxembourg State Council.

Alain holds an MBA from INSEAD (Fontainebleau), an Advanced Certificate in Corporate Governance from INSEAD and an MsC in Business from the University of Paris-Dauphine. Alain qualified as a CPA (Réviseur d'Entreprises) and Registered Accountant (Expert Comptable) in Luxembourg and holds a Degree in domestic and international tax law.
