Matthias Maier is a seasoned corporate finance professional at Bayerische Landesbank, a Leading German Bank, with extensive experience in structuring, negotiating, and implementing complex financing solutions for large and medium sized international corporates, particularly in the manufacturing, engineering, and machinery sectors. In addition, he possesses deep expertise in risk management, credit analysis, and product development across a wide range of financial instruments, including treasury products and debt capital markets.

He is the Chairman of the Board of directors at a Luxembourg Asset Manager, overseeing strategy, compliance, and regulatory reporting, and ensuring effective board governance and business development.

Matthias holds a Diploma in Economics from Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg. He has passed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst certification, he is a Certified expert in sustainable finance from Frankurt School of Management and has passed several board leadership trainings at ILA.
