KAUTHEN Françoise, Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF)

Françoise Kauthen began her career at Luxembourg Stock Exchange in 1989. She joined the CSSF in 1999 in the supervision of financial asset markets and has been Head of the Supervision of Financial Asset Markets Department since the department was set up in October 2003. She was appointed Director at the CSSF in January 2016. Françoise specialises on the supervision of financial asset markets, investment firms, payment and electronic money institutions, as well as support PFS. She also has cross-functional responsibilities for innovation and oversight of the information systems of supervised entities. Françoise has been reappointed for a second five-year term in 2021. She has a Master’s Degree in Economics from the Université Louis Pasteur of Strasbourg (France).
