LEICK Sylvie

Sylvie is a Partner leading the Luxembourg People Advisory Services practice, an integrated practice combining practitioners from Tax and Advisory to deliver insight and innovation on people, organizational and compliance issues. Sylvie joined Ernst & Young in 2001, she is based in the Luxembourg office and has over 15 years experience in Luxembourg and international individual taxation, labour law, social security as well as immigration, serving both Luxembourg companies and international clients (including Financial Services clients).

Sylvie provides support to expatriates in large international mobility programs, including tax assistance, social security situation and immigration requirements and she assists with the implementation of Global Employment Companies for hosting internationally mobile workforce. 

As a Partner, Sylvie has a large experience dealing with Executives (incl. C-suite) regarding their tax situation and extensive experience with implementation of Equity Incentive Schemes (stock options plans, Restricted Stock Units schemes, Stock Appreciation Rights & Phantom plans,…), analysis of their tax treatment & reporting requirements. She also implements compensation policies, including tax optimization of compensation packages, including specific requirements for Financial Services clients. Sylvie participates in due diligence projects in the context of acquisitions and has experience with International payroll matters, frontier workers specifics, tax equalizations and international mobility policies.

Sylvie is graduated in Law and in Luxembourg tax legislation. She speaks French (mother tongue) and fluent English.
