VALCARCE Adriana, J. Safra Sarasin Fund Management (Luxembourg) S.A.

Adriana is a seasoned legal counsel and governance advisor with 14 years of experience. Her expertise extends to advising senior management and boards of directors on a wide array of corporate matters, optimizing governance structures and ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory landscapes.
Adriana has worked as a lawyer, governance adviser and company secretary in the financial sector for top tier groups. Adriana currently heads the corporate governance and fund legal oversight department of J. Safra Sarasin Fund Management (Luxembourg) S.A. which is part of the J. Safra Sarasin a leading sustainable private banking group.
Adriana's background uniquely encompasses valuable experience in family-owned business, fintech and start-ups. Adriana is a co-founder of Hentopharma S.L., a family owned business within the dermo-cosmetic sector in Spain, where she provides advice to executive management. Furthermore, in 2019, Adriana co-founded La Automobiliaria S.L. (Wannauto), a digital platform for car sales that incorporated financing intermediation and agency services. Notably, this venture developed a secure payment system app. Previously, she collaborated as an adviser to the chairman of HASENOSA (Harinas y Semolas del Noroeste S.A.), pioneer company in Spain in the production of specialty flours, and participated as an adviser throughout the sale of this company in 2017 to Kerry Group (listed on the Dublin and London Stock Exchanges). 
Adriana has been ranked by business magazine Paperjam in the list of “100 Top Women for your Board”, March 2025. She is a member of the ILA Corporate Governance Officer Committee, a member of the Madrid Bar Association and also a member of 100 Women in Finance.
Adriana holds a master degree in law with specialization in business and economics from University of Vigo (Spain), and a master’s degree in international legal advocacy from ISDE Law and Business School, Madrid (Spain) where she graduated with highest distinctions. She speaks fluently five languages.
