Course outline

This course will provide Directors with an overview of key regulatory topics relevant for boards of directors. Focus will be put on the practical role of board of directors of investment funds (incl. general partners) in the supervision of the funds’ service providers aiming to ensure adequate compliance with the relevant regulations. Participants shall be given the appropriate understanding of the principal considerations of the latest regulations, enabling them to acquire new reflexes in the day-to-day operation of the board of directors.


Course highlights

While regulation on investment funds is subject to permanent evolution, the course will familiarise directors with the latest topics that will require the boards’ attention. The main features of the program are:

  • Insight on latest EU and Luxembourg initiatives and projects in the field of investment funds, such as, ELTIF2, AIFMD2, MiFID2, EMIR, etc.;
  • Detailed and practical approach on the regulations underlying the CSSF’s Self Assessment Questionnaire for regulated investment funds and key take aways for best practice in boards of directors;
  • Practical insights and timelines for ensuring adequate and complete reporting to regulators (CSSF, AED, FIU, BCL, etc.) to be supervised by boards of directors.
