CIESIELSKA Katia

Katia Ciesielska is an INSEAD- and ILA-Certified Independent Director and Governance Consultant with board experience across Luxembourg, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Denmark, and Israel. She serves on the boards of commercial companies, regulated investment funds (UCITS, SIF), professional investor fund vehicles (AIF, RAIF, partnerships), family offices, start-ups, and non-profit organizations.

Her core expertise includes corporate governance, investment funds, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and real estate transactions, secured financings, risk management, ESG, AML/CFT, and regulatory compliance. Katia holds degrees in business and commercial law and has completed executive education at leading institutions including INSEAD (International Directors Programme), HEC Paris (International Certificate in Corporate Finance), the London School of Economics (Real Estate Economics and Finance), Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (Certified Expert in Sustainable Finance), and MIT Sloan (AI: Implications for Business Strategy).

Katia is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and has acted as compliance officer (RC) for various investment structures since 2021.

In addition to serving on the ILA Board of Directors, she is an active member of ILA’s Corporate Governance Officers (CGO) Committee, Think Tank, and Education & Certification Committee, and regularly contributes as a trainer, speaker, and panelist at industry events.

She is fluent in English, French, German, Luxembourgish, and Polish.
