Course outline
The Portfolio Management Module provides an overview of portfolio management & its governance as well as the various delegation models and highlights key considerations for Directors of Funds and IFMs in their portfolio management oversight roles.
A case study illustrates the types of challenges Directors may face in portfolio management.

The module covers the following topics:
- Portfolio Management & its Governance, delegation models, and the investment management process
- Key considerations for Directors in portfolio management oversight role, focusing on understanding performance, adherence to investment and risk limits and adherence to operational standards & regulatory requirements
- The roles of the Investment Fund Manager and the Fund Board
- Key developments related to the portfolio management function
Benefits of the programme
This interactive seminar includes theoretical basics, representations by professionals and exchange between participants through the resolution of a specific corporate business case.

A group of about 20 persons representing:
- Fund and investment management companies’ directors (UCITS, SIF, SICAR, RAIF,...), independent or in employment contracts
- Managers responsible for funds and investment companies with management and/or supervisory responsibilities
- Executives and managers of management companies and/or funds
- Executives and managers (legal, domiciliation and compliance services) of service providers, e.g. depository banks, administrative and domiciliary agents
- Lawyers specialising in investment funds
- Auditors specialising in investment funds
- Other professionals involved in this field (insurance, infrastructure, risk management, etc.)
